Road test: Lavazza A Modo Mio “Minu” capsule espresso machine
WHAT is it?
It’s the latest, and smallest, in Lavazza’s range of compact capsule coffee machines.
Why would you buy it? It’s
very simple to use and makes a consistently good, creamy espresso. As you’d expect from this classy Italian mob it’s slickly designed and, best of all, it takes up very little kitchen bench space.
What about those capsules? There
are 12 blends available, covering a wide range of tastes, ranging from $11 to $13 for a box of 16. You can buy them online or at Coles stores.
Does it make flat white? You’ll need to shop around for an extra milk frother or lattemento for that.
Any drawbacks? Waste. What do you do with all those used capsules? Chuck them in the recycling bin, I guess.
