Northern Ireland’s Pure Roast Coffee sets up Pure Gusto Coffee in Britain
Pure Roast Coffee, Northern Ireland’s multi-award winning coffee company, has set up an operation in Britain to grow its pod and capsule business in the country’s dynamic foodservice sector.
Based at Lisburn in county Antrim, Pure Roast Coffee gained a record haul of 14 gold stars for 10 coffee blends in the recent Great Taste Awards and is already a major supplier of easy serve coffee pods to equipment manufacturers and restaurant franchises. The company is a specialist in convection roasting techniques.
Four of the company’s blends each gained two stars in the Great Taste Awards, including its Signature product and Decaf Espresso Beans.
The other awards were coffee products supplied to existing customers such as Coffee Merchants and the Bespoke Coffee Company.
The new Pure Gusto base is in Bolton and is already marketing coffee pods to customers throughout Britain.
Martin Symington, Pure Roast Coffee managing director, commenting on the decision to set up an operation in Lancashire, said: “We have been considering a sales and marketing operation in Britain for some considerable time. Our business in Britain is growing very strongly across all sectors, especially our own easy serve pods and capsules, which are now favoured by machine manufacturers and foodservice outlets. Setting up in Bolton makes good business sense for us.”
